Bradstone Biodiversity Garden - RHS Chelsea
Bradstone manufacturers cast and natural stone paving in the United Kingdom and under licence across the globe. In 2010 they worked with Paul to create a ground breaking garden which explored ways to create positive habitat in urban gardens whilst still maintaining a beautiful garden environment. Biodiversity is defined as the variation of life forms within a given ecosystem. By combining sustainable practice with biodiversity the garden offers a species rich habitat for a range of at risk garden insects and mammals.
Some of Bradstone’s most environmentally aware products along side cast stone structural elements designed by Paul have been combined to create structures, which are not only beautiful but actively enhance biodiversity.
Alongside these bespoke cast products recycled sustainable landscape materials have been incorporated together with a diverse range of plants, from trees to shrubs, perennials and annuals.
The Portico, designed by Paul for the garden incorporated both insect habitats and nesting opportunities for birds in the garden and is truly a bio-diverse space that thinks about its own connection and impact as part of the wider landscape.
