A Dog's Retreat - Hampton Court 2016
Approached by the Dogs Trust to create a garden which celebrated 125 years of the charity Paul set about developing the idea of a garden which was beautiful, filled with scents and plants for garden lovers and a space to enjoy with dogs.
The garden has a modern feel with rich metal structures, contemporary paving and a mixture of sculptural elements whilst still being set on vernacular and traditional principals.
The garden uses a soft palette of lilac blues and yellows to give a relaxed sense. 'Sniffer' tracks trough the planting are spaces for dogs to discover and clay pipes set in walls allow for fresh drinking water.
A large circular focal point acts a refuge to sit and enjoy the company of friends on two or four legs and to look back over the herbaceous richness of the garden.
